How To: Upgrade to the Next iPhone
After my contract for my iPhone ran out on February this year I decided that I didn’t want to renew my contract and get the current 3GS model, since I already had the 3G. One call to Carphone Warehouse and it was all sorted allowing me to easily renew my contract whenever I want (e.g. when the next iPhone comes out) without any hassle of renewing a contract now. It’s simple and fast, here’s how;
- Call your current contract provider (02, Carphone Warehouse, AT&T etc).
- Ask them to switch your contract onto a 30-day rolling contract (dependent on your provider).
All done. What this means is you will pay a flat rate every month (for me that’s £30, original contract was £45). There’s no need to worry about new numbers, new sims, new phones, new anything for that matter. All that changes really are you limits and monthly charges. Which for me weren’t that big of a change and I actually got a decent saving considering it is now £15 cheaper a month.
So roll on June/July to see what Steve has in store for the iPhone and I hope this comes in useful for those who’s contracts are running dry before June/July this year.
