Just bought myself this Steve Jobs “action” figure.
If you’re mad like me you can buy yourself one too.
I love the fact that Ronnie Corbett can do sketches about technology. A true comedy genius.
Printers, a piece of technology which has long been hated by all human beings. They rarely work and when they do you discover you’ve printed the wrong document, when you return to print the correct copy it has magically stopped. They seem to enjoy ripping and crumpling up paper on the weekends. They seem to understand your schedule because as soon as you need to leave for that important meeting they require you bless their hand with printer gold (ink cartridges).

Apple, a technology pioneer who continues to make stuff which “just works”. This would be particularly handy in the situation of printers. So, an open letter;
Dear Steve Jobs,
Please, with your final days at Apple ever closing, just put some of your team onto creating a printer. With the billions you have in reserve for research and development, please, please, just pop a few million into development of an incredible printer.
You are the only company on the planet who can transform printing in the home forever. I know the market isn’t incredible or particularly innovative but sometimes you need to do a public service. Think of this as your savor of humanity when it comes to the everyday man and woman. The battle of Mac vs. PC will forever be won if you crack the printer problem as even Bill Gates will have to bow to the genius of the human who fixes printers. You would likely make absolutely nothing from this venture but the hearts and souls of the world.
Please use your awesome magical powers and make a printer that “just works”.
Yours wishfully,
Greg Cooper
